Serbia is in its fifth year of negotiations to join the World Trade Organization, but according to State Secretary for International Economic Relations Vesna Arsić, this is not an unusual duration of the process, and Serbia is at an advanced stage.
Over the last 10 years, Germany has invested a total of EUR1.5 billion in Serbia, it was said on Oct. 4 at the Serbian-German business forum in Munich, held as part of the Days of Serbia in Bavaria event. According to a survey conducted by the German Business Association in Serbia for 2010, German investors were positive about doing business in Serbia and 87 percent of German businesspeople said they would decide to invest in Serbia again.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic visited the Serbian pavilion at the World EXPO fair 2010 in Shanghai today where he opened a business presentation "Serbia – Your Business Partner."
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic stated today that through the overall reform of regulations two-thirds of recommendations that came from businesses have been acknowledged.
"This Law shall regulate the legal status of business companies and entrepreneurs, and in particular their incorporation, managing, status changes, changes of legal form, as well as their dissolution. The provisions hereof are also applied to all forms of private businesses which have been incorporated and which operate under a separate law, unless that law provides otherwise..."
